Knowles Farm

We are perfectly situated in the heart of the NAtional Park close to many attractions for all age groups.

We have walks alongside the river which teams with birdlife and the river is a haven for boating.

There are gardens castles and the coast within minutes and a woodland garden to walk in before breakfast.

Poyerston Farm

We specialise in traditional farmhouse cooking using fresh local produce wherever possible and breakfast is served in the cosy dining room and conservatory that overlooks the garden. There is a lounge for guests use. We have ample safe parking and It is only a short stroll up our drive to fetch a daily paper if you wish

We have had reviews and recommendations in quite a few national newspapers, including the 'Daily Mail', as well as being commended and written about in various other publications such as "Pembrokeshire's Historic Houses", "Wales' Great Little Places 2000", "The Red Book - Eat Well in Wales" and "A Guide to Garden Visits".

Nesta's cooking, herself being an amateur cook, is imaginative and delicious. Its traditionally based, but with tasty improvements using recipes that Nesta has largely invented herself.

There is no set menu at Lower Haythog Farm and the evenings here have the atmosphere of a lively and friendly dinner party. But please remember that we are unlicensed so you'll have to bring your own wine! Typical meals in winter time include starters such as lentil and parsnip soup, followed by main courses of filling chicken and leek pie, or lamb, cumin, and apricot stew. During the summer, salmon features prominently, with dishes like smoked salmon pate, or whole salmon poached with a rustic tomato sauce, all served with freshly picked mange tout, and tasty celeriac and sprout bake.

Desserts are typical of Nesta's heritage, being highly spiced in the best Welsh traditions of baking. Baked apples are popular and so are Nesta's caramelized apples baked in a puff pastry heart covered in a rich cinnamon custard. Finish this meal off with hot coffee, relax and soak up the friendly homely atmosphere. Superb!

Skerryback Farm

A short walk down the road is the sheltered creek of Sandy Haven with its oyster catchers and herons fishing in the stream.

Following the path through the bluebell wood of Sandy Haven and along the coast is the steep cliff path down to the lovely sandy beach of Lyndsway. On a little further you will come to Monk Haven, and nestling in the valley behind the old monastery walls is the ancient church of St Ishmaels, and so the coast path goes on, something different around every corner.

A very special day out is a trip to Skomer or Skokholm Islands, in summer they are carpeted in flowers and the puffins just have to be seen.

Canaston Oaks

David & Eleanor Lewis extend a warm Pembrokeshire welcome to their luxury farm guest house, Canaston Oaks...

Our aim is to provide you with a unique and comfortable environment for you to relax and enjoy the finest of Welsh hospitality. We have farmed Canaston Farm for generations and have enjoyed catering for visiting guests for many years prior to carrying out this enhancement of our accommodation.

The guest rooms were originally the stables for the farm and have recently undergone extensive and imaginative restoration - with Eleanor’s eye for detail ensuring many distinctive and special features.

All four guest rooms have private bathrooms and magnificent views across the countryside - either over the picturesque grounds down to the river, or the wider surrounding rural countryside - and all have been specifically designed to reflect a traditional, yet contemporary, ambience.
