Acanthus Holden Architects

Though in general practice, staff at Acanthus Holden Architects are encouraged to develop expertise in associated fields leading to accreditation and professional recognition.

Conservation: Peter Holden is accredited with AABC (Architects Accredited in Building Conservation). AABC was set up at the behest of the HLF, and membership is now a requirement for most large HLF grant aided projects.

Town & Country Planning: Linda Jones is one of only a few architects in Wales who is registered as MRTPI.

Linda is responsible in the office for the increasingly complex issues surrounding gaining planning permission on sites in rural and urban areas. Issues often raised include Section 106 agreements, design and access statements and exception sites.

Sustainable Homes: Linda Jones is a qualified Code for Sustainable Homes Assessors.

Health & Safety: Peter Holden is an accredited CDM Coordinator registered with the Association for Project Safety (APS).
